September 21, 2000 - Complaint - Plea - Docket For most Americans, Friday - September 8, 2000 was a great day. However, on this day, Tommy decided to break the law, again. Unfortunately for him though, he was caught. This was the third time now that Tommy Thompson was caught Driving Under the Influence (usually referred to as "DUI"). The complaint filed against Tommy in the Superior Court of California, Case No. 0VN04017, included four charges against Tommy. Including DUI and also, interestingly, for impersonating an officer. On October 5, 2000, Tommy Thompson was called for his arraignment. Tommy chose to plead no contest to some of the charges, however, the Judge found him guilty anyway. The Judge subsequently gave him a suspended sentence and placed him on probation. The terms and conditions were either that Tommy spend 48 hours in jail, accompanied with various fines totaling $1,579.00 or he could spend 16 days in jail. He also had to enroll and participate in and successfully complete an 18-month licensed second-offender [although it should have said 3rd time offender] alcohol and other drug education and counseling program. Two of the charges he got away with, which was due to negotiating his plea. However, the one that he didn't get away with was "COUNT 04: 538D PC MISD - IMPERSONATE PEACE OFFICER." Does this make you wonder what he did? When Tommy came back to court on December 11, 2000, he immediately paid $1,100.00 to the court. However, he didn't show proof that he had done his duties in the city jail. Tommy paid the court another $479.00 on March 12, 2001, but he still hadn't done his jail time. He was scheduled at that point though to go to jail on March 30, 2001. Then... TOMMY WENT TO JAIL! When the next hearing was called on June 11, 2001, Tommy had filed proof that he had spent the required time in the Los Angeles County Jail! He was also listed as having made good progress on his alcohol program. We should congradulate Tommy for finally getting it right for once. But wait...what happened...things were going so well. On June 3, 2002 the City Attorney's Office requested the revocation of Tommy's probation, along with a notice of probation violation hearing! Wow! What happened?! Did Tommy VIOLATE THE INJUNCTION? Wouldn't you know it, you just can't trust these kind of people, can you? The next thing Tommy did, which was rather funny, was that he wrote a "raving" commendation which appeared that it was really written simply to impress on the Judge, especially since he was just accused of violating the injunction! In the commendation he made some hilariously wild statements, like: "I entered the program with the intention that this would never happen again, and because of that tried to get all I could out of the program and the meetings. As a result, I quit drinking, and have made the transition from a person who drinks to one who does not." He joking right? Please tell me he's joking. He can't be serious, could he? "Of course, my life is running much better now." Sure, if that's what you want to call it. I guess Tommy likes going to jail. "Life as a sober person is very rewarding, and I wish to commend the court and also the system for its success in my case." ... "It changed my life." What's really funny about this one is that I thought he was supposed to be the one who would uphold the utmost highest ethical standards you could expect from a Free Zone squirrel. Not only that, you would think this "great being who has come to save the day" would be able to handle things in his own case! Here, he sounds like he just completed an advanced level or something. Maybe the Free Zone should have an ALCOHOL REHABILITATION level. Obviously, it would have to be way up there on the chart. Such as in Tommy's case, it's a case-cracker! Tommy arrived for the hearing on June 24, 2002, which took place and the Judge revoked his probation. A new hearing date was set for two days later. But, just like old days, Tommy, being "above the law", decided not to show up to that hearing. With high ethical standards like his, it really makes this world a great place to live in, doesn't it? At the June 26, 2002 hearing the Judge issued a bench warrant in the amount of $15,000.00. YET ANOTHER BENCH WARRANT! WHAT IS THIS, THE MILLIONTH TIME NOW?! On July 2, 2002, Tommy appeared in front of the Judge. This time, the revocation of the probation was kept in place and the bench warrant was withdrawn. Tommy must have had the thought that, "Gee, maybe I should go to the court today." Eventually the hearing on Tommy Thompson's violation of the probation was held and it was found that Tommy did indeed violate the probation. Therefore, he was ordered to serve an additional 5 days in the Los Angeles County Jail! TOMMY WENT TO JAIL AGAIN! Can you believe it?! This is COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS Tommy! He's consistently showing what it means to have "HIGH" ethical standards, from a Free Zone squirrel! Is this someone you want to be associated with? Do you think you would ever be helped by him? When November 1, 2002 came around, which was the hearing to see if he had done his jail time, guess what? ...that's right -- he wasn't there. However, luckily, he had filed proof that he did his jail time. PS: I really wonder though, how many times do you think Tommy Thompson has driven under the
influence of drugs or alcohol and wasn't caught? How many times did he break the law and get away with it?
